About the IPDE-SQ

The International Personality Disorder Examination Screening Questionnaire was developed by Loranger and colleagues as part of the WHO/ADAMHA Joint Program on the Diagnosis and Classification of Mental Disorders. It provides a brief, reliable pre-screen that flags which personality disorder categories warrant the full semi-structured IPDE interview.

Validation Standard

Validated against the IPDE semi-structured clinical interview — the diagnostic gold standard for personality disorder research. The screening questionnaire is designed to maximize sensitivity: it errs on the side of inclusion so that the full interview captures all likely positives.
