Assessment Instruments

The full battery of validated psychological and cognitive measures available on the ImplicitifyAI platform, organized by measurement approach and domain.

Explicit Self-Report Measures

Validated psychometric instruments measuring conscious trait patterns through structured questionnaires.

Five-Factor Model (FFM)

Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism. NEO-PI-R equivalent with 30 facet scales across the Big Five domains.

IPIP-IPC

IPIP Interpersonal Circumplex (Markey & Markey, 2009). Maps interpersonal style along the agency and communion axes.

Experiences in Close Relationships – Short Form (ECR-SF)

Experiences in Close Relationships — Short Form. Adult attachment along anxiety and avoidance dimensions.

Defense Mechanisms (DMQ-30)

Defense Mechanism Questionnaire. Self-report of defensive organization across mature, neurotic, and immature defense clusters.

PHQ-9 / GAD-7

Gold-standard brief screeners for depressive and anxiety symptom severity. Widely validated across clinical and research settings.

Implicit & Performance-Based Measures

Techniques revealing unconscious motives, defenses, and relational patterns not accessible through self-report.

Picture Story Exercise (PSE)

Story-based implicit motive assessment using integrative PSE scoring for Achievement, Power, and Affiliation motives. McClelland’s tradition.

CCRT

Core Conflictual Relationship Theme — Luborsky’s transference method in plain terms: write short stories about real relationship moments and the engine codes the pattern you keep repeating (wish, response of other, response of self).

Cognitive Measures

Objective measures of cognitive capacities: processing speed, working memory, fluid reasoning, and performance validity.

Visual Digit Span

Working-memory span. Digit sequences recalled forward, backward, or in ascending order — raw maximum span and sequences correct.

SPP LDT — Associative

The unified Semantic Priming Project lexical-decision task of visual word attention and semantic memory — after a briefly presented prime word, decide whether a target letter string is a real word or a nonword. Verbatim SPP word pairs cross related versus unrelated primes with short (200 ms) and long (1,200 ms) prime–target intervals, counterbalanced across association direction and strength and target age of acquisition. Reports accuracy, response speed, and inverse efficiency with empirical SPP percentiles for supported metrics (Hutchison et al., 2013).

Stroop Color–Word Test

The classic colour–word interference task. Neutral, congruent, and incongruent blocks — reports per-block reaction time, accuracy, and the Stroop interference effect (incongruent − congruent RT, in ms).

Emotion Stroop Test

Colour-name emotionally salient vs comparison words, in nine assignable word-set variants: general negative–neutral, negative–positive, and seven per-phobia sets (spiders, snakes, blood/injection, social threat, heights, enclosed spaces, flying). Reports mean reaction time and accuracy for each word type plus the raw within-person interference effect (theme − comparison RT, in ms) for tracking attentional bias over repeated administrations.

Variable Tempo Stroop (Experimental)

Colour-naming Stroop task across four accelerating blocks. Reports Tempo Amplification Ratio, Dynamic Inhibition, and Executive Flexibility — novel within-person constructs.

Visual Spatialization Ability Test (VSAT)

30 mental-rotation trials: see a reference cube, a cued rotation (e.g. 135° clockwise), then pick the matching cube from five candidates. 2 points per correct choice, maximum 60; difficulty rises across three blocks. Raw score only — not norm-referenced.

Word-Recognition Validity Test

A brief two-alternative forced-choice recognition task (learn 50 words, then pick the studied word from a length-matched foil). A performance-validity check: reports recognition accuracy, an exact below-chance binomial test, a provisional cutoff, and a VALID / QUESTIONABLE / INVALID classification.

Academic Achievement (NAEP-sourced)

NAEP Academic Achievement Battery

Reading / Math / Writing achievement built on NAEP-released content and NAEP's published national statistics. Raw/criterion-referenced performance plus a Rasch (1PL) ability estimate; NAEP population figures shown separately with a no-equating disclaimer. Verbatim items enter only through a two-operator provenance ledger.
